HOW TO STAY Stay in Naha | 2 nights and 3 days model plan

An Okinawa trip based in the Naha area, where the airport is located, ensures compact travel times. You can make the most of your stay in Okinawa by fully enjoying the surrounding entertainment options. Here is the model plan for 2-night 3-day suggested by 「Southwest Grand Hotel」.

DAY 1

DAY 2

DAY 3

DAY 1

Naha Airport

Upon arriving at the Naha Airport, head towards Kokusai-street. If you take a taxi, you will get to the South Grand Hotel by approximately 12 minutes. If riding a monorail, it will be 5 minutes walk from Kencho-mae Station. If by bus, get off at Matsuo bus stop, and it will be 2 minutes walk.

Lunch at the hotel

Before checking in, leave your luggage at the front desk and have a toast at the hotel's main dining area, "A LONG VACATION." For the start of your journey, we recommend you to enjoy lunch on the open-air terrace, where you can feel the Okinawa breeze.

Stroll around the area

The downtown area, Kokusai Street, located by the hotel, is a popular tourist spot lined with rows of Okinawa-style shops bustling from morning until night. While Main Street is a must-visit, exploring the back alleys where you can encounter traditional pottery (yachtsman) and unique stores is highly recommended.

Check in

Take a quick stroll around the city and return to the hotel to complete your check-in. You can see the cityscape of Naha from the large windows of the room. Enjoy the city and scenery from a different perspective that you had during your earlier walk.

Pool & Jacuzzi

Cool down your warmed-up body after a lot of walking. Take a shower, then head to the pool. After a swim, make your way to the terrace and enjoy a relaxing soak in the outdoor jacuzzi to reset your mood. You can spend a pleasant time refreshing and relaxing.

Get ready in the sauna

Use the exclusive route for guests to access the sauna, located on the highest floor of the building, the 12th. Enjoy breathtaking views of Naha’s cityscape through the windows while alternating between the sauna and the cold plunge bath. Refresh both your body and mind while experiencing the Okinawa breeze.

Sunset Bar

Once you’ve changed and are ready to head out, go to the sunset bar, “The Sailor’s Club” to start with appetizers and an aperitif. Enjoying a drink while watching the tranquil sunset is an exceptional experience.

Dinner on Kokusai Street

After the sunset, head outside the hotel for your first dinner on the trip. Make a reservation at an Okinawan restaurant on Kokusai Street, known for its diverse gourmet offerings—for example, Agu pork, sea grapes, coconut crabs, etc. Savour not just the taste but also the visual appeal of the diverse and colourful dishes. Enjoying the lively atmosphere of a restaurant where you can hear traditional island music adds to the experience.

Downtown at night

The lively atmosphere of Naha's cityscape transforms entirely at night, creating a different ambience from the daytime. After satisfying your hunger, you can enjoy a casual bar-hopping experience by visiting two or three more places and passing through the welcoming "Senbero" (a term for budget-friendly bars) curtains.

Back to your room

After enjoying the nightlife in the bustling entertainment district, get some fresh air and return to the hotel with a pleasant buzz. Private time awaits you in your room. Take a bath, change into your nightwear, and imagine tomorrow's short trip as you settle into bed.
